Investment Raise ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This SMS Communications Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your contact information when you receive SMS and email communications from us.

Important: SMS text messages are optional and require your explicit opt-in. If you choose to enable SMS two-factor authentication, you add your mobile number and expressly agree to receive automated SMS verification and account-security messages. Consenting to SMS is never a condition of creating an account or using our services — email-based verification is always available as an alternative. These are transactional security messages only; we never send marketing or promotional texts. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Information We Collect

When you create an account on our investor portal, we collect:

  • Your email address
  • Your mobile phone number (if provided for SMS 2FA)
  • Your consent status and timestamp
  • Message delivery and response data

How We Use Your Information

We use your email address and mobile phone number solely for the following purposes:

  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Sending one-time verification codes via email or SMS to secure your account during login
  • Account Verification: Confirming your identity during account creation and email verification
  • Security Alerts: Notifying you of suspicious account activity or important security updates
  • Account Communications: Password resets, account status updates, and critical account notifications

We will never use your contact information for marketing purposes or share it with third parties for promotional use.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your account activity. You will receive email or SMS messages only when:

  • You create a new account and need to verify your email address
  • You log in and two-factor authentication is triggered
  • You request a password reset
  • Unusual account activity is detected
  • Important account or security updates require your attention

Typical users receive fewer than 10 messages per month.

Sample Messages

Here are examples of messages you may receive:

  • Your Investment Raise Investor Portal verification code is: 847291. This code expires in 5 minutes.
  • Your Investment Raise verification code for viewing banking information is: 563102. This code expires in 5 minutes. If you did not request this, please contact us immediately.
  • SECURITY ALERT: Code 294817 to change your Investment Raise account email. Expires in 5 min. If you did NOT request this, contact us IMMEDIATELY.

Consent & Opt-In

SMS messaging is strictly opt-in. You provide consent only when you choose to enable SMS two-factor authentication by adding and verifying your mobile number in your account settings, or by explicitly checking the SMS opt-in box during signup. At that point, you expressly agree to receive automated SMS text messages from Investment Raise for account verification and security (two-factor authentication). Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of creating an account or using our services — if you do not opt in to SMS, email-based two-factor authentication is used instead. You may withdraw your consent at any time by replying STOP.

Your consent includes:

  • Receiving automated email messages for account verification, 2FA codes, and security notifications
  • Receiving automated SMS messages for two-factor authentication (if you enable SMS 2FA)
  • Understanding that message and data rates may apply for SMS
  • Acknowledging that these are transactional security messages, not marketing communications

Opt-Out Instructions

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message you receive from us to disable SMS 2FA.

Please Note: Email communications for account security (verification codes, password resets, security alerts) cannot be opted out of while your account is active, as they are essential to account security. If you opt out of SMS, email will be used for two-factor authentication instead.

After opting out of SMS, you will receive a final confirmation message:

  • SMS verification disabled for your Investment Raise account. Email will be used for two-factor authentication. Contact support@investmentraise.com for assistance.

Help & Support

For assistance with SMS messages or your account, reply HELP to any SMS message to receive support information. When you text HELP, you will receive:

  • Investment Raise account verification. These codes secure your account login. For support: support@investmentraise.com. Reply STOP to disable SMS verification. Msg & data rates may apply.

Costs & Carrier Information

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Investment Raise does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may charge standard messaging fees.

SMS services are available on all major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your phone number and related information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Access controls limiting who can view your information
  • Regular security assessments and monitoring
  • Secure third-party SMS service providers

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your contact information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your information may only be shared with:

  • Email Service Providers: Third-party services that deliver email messages on our behalf (bound by confidentiality agreements)
  • SMS Service Providers: Third-party services that deliver SMS messages on our behalf (bound by confidentiality agreements)
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our legal rights

Data Retention

We retain your contact information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your contact information from our communication systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as regulatory compliance.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this SMS Communications Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
