Getting Started Guides

Creating Your Account

To get started, create your Investment Raise account by entering your company name, first and last name, email address, and a secure password. You will then choose a portal slug — this becomes the subdomain for your investor portal at slug.investmentraise.com. Choose something short and recognisable, such as your fund name or firm abbreviation, because this URL is what your LPs will use to access their portal.

After choosing your slug, review and accept the billing terms. Once you submit, you will receive a verification email at the address you provided. Click the link in that email to confirm your account. Your portal is not live until verification is complete, so check your inbox (and spam folder) promptly. If the email does not arrive, use the Resend button on the verification screen.

Navigating Your GP Portal

Once your account is verified and you are logged in, you land on the GP dashboard. The main navigation gives you access to four core sections.

Deals is where you create and manage investment opportunities. Each deal has its own page where you can add details, upload documents, and control which investors can see it. Investors is your LP directory — add, organise, and track the status of every limited partner in your fund. Documents gives you a central library to upload and organise files independently of a specific deal, useful for fund agreements or general LP communications. Settings covers your company branding (logo, colours, contact details), billing and subscription management, and team member access if you have colleagues who need portal access.

Inviting Your First Investor

Navigate to the Investors section and select Add Investor. Enter the LP's email address and any identifying details you want to record (name, entity type, commitment amount). When you save, the platform sends them a magic-link invitation to their email.

LPs log in passwordlessly — they never set a password. Each time they want to access the portal, they enter their email address and receive a one-time secure link. This removes the friction of forgotten passwords while keeping access tightly controlled. Back in the Investors list, you can see at a glance whether each LP has accepted their invitation and last accessed the portal. If an investor has not responded, you can resend the invitation from their record.

Creating Your First Deal

From the Deals section, select New Deal. Give the deal a clear name, write a description that explains the opportunity, and set a target close date so investors understand the timeline.

Once the deal is created, upload the relevant documents — pitch deck, term sheet, financial projections, or anything else investors need to evaluate the opportunity. Organise them with descriptive file names so your LPs can navigate the data room easily. When everything is ready, publish the deal. Only investors you have invited and granted access to the deal will be able to see it in their portal. You can track who has viewed the deal and follow up with those who have not.
